Public domain status of F. W. Murnau's "Tabu, a Story of the South Seas" [1931]?

That's a pity for "Tabu..." is a fine film by Murnau.

Your posted response is curious...I wonder why the listing is "P" W Murnau instead of "F" W Murnau?

The copyright entries were scanned and a software program is used to turn the picture of the text into actual text . . . the software makes many mistakes when it guesses what the letter is . . . it is amazing that it gets 95% correct, but there are many silly mistakes in the text version of the pages.

Interesting. Reminds me of a colleague who had the "Dragon" [voice to text] software program. It was a dismal failure. Technical terminology and foreign words and phrases failed to translate. It was discovered that the keyboard was far more reliable.
